The entrepreneurship department is a skill based department that has so far facilitated students from Mpigi District schools with life changing skills like Tailoring and through the project sente we are heading for me great impact

Our Health department made a tangible difference by offering free healthcare services to 500 individuals at the Mpigi Health Centre IV

What is the mission of Jolt Youth Initiative?
Our mission is to cultivate communities where young people’s hidden potential is unlocked through self-efficacy, empowering them to be active contributors to individual and societal Development.

Why focus on self efficacy?
Self efficacy is the belief in one’s ability to influence motivation, behavior, and the environment which is central to empowerment. Jolt youth initiative is nurturing this belief, to help youth discover, develop and convert potential into real action toward individual success and societal development

What is the goal?
By 2028, we aim to empower at least 80% of youth aged 15–24 in Mpigi, Butambala, and Masaka districts with the knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes needed for personal and community development.

What core areas does Jolt address?
Our programs span education support, health awareness, entrepreneurship, gender equity, leadership development, peace and conflict resolution, technology & innovation, climate activation, and mentorship; all strategically aligned to strengthen youth self efficacy and leadership key to discovering, developing and deploying full potential

Where does Jolt operate?
We operate in Mpigi, Butambala, Masaka, and maintain a head office in Kampala and afield office in Mpigi District. These districts reflect diverse contexts of urban, peri urban, and rural; each with pressing youth development challenges.

Are there opportunities for youth leadership within Jolt Youth Initiative?
Absolutely! Jolt Youth Initiative values youth leadership and actively encourages young people to take on leadership roles within our organization. We offer leadership training, mentorship, and opportunities to lead and organize projects and initiatives.

What indicators will Jolt track?
Key success indicators include improved youth employment rates, increased small business start ups, higher educational attainment, and reductions in youth related health challenges by 2028.
